About the Denver-Wellness approach

Our Approach

At Denver-Wellness Community, we take a comprehensive approach to wellness that considers all aspects of your life, including nutrition, movement, sleep and stress levels. We work with you to develop a personalized plan that fits your unique needs and lifestyle.

AcuDetox can be supported by mindful movement, breath awarenenss and  somatic sound therapy, to create a deeper sense of safety and regulation in the nervous system. These practices gently prepare the body to receive treatment, help integrate its effects, and support ongoing balance between sessions. Rather than pushing for release or performance, we focus on slowing down—using breath, sound, and simple embodied awareness to invite the nervous system into rest, restoration, and reconnection.

MINDFUL MOVEMENT IN COMBINATION WITH ACUDETOX

Mindful Movement is gentle, intentional movement guided by breath and body awareness rather than performance or appearance.

Instead of focusing on how a pose looks, we focus on how it feels — moving slowly enough for the nervous system to follow.

Mindful Movement Assists With:

Calm the stress response

Release stored tension

Improve emotional regulation

Build trust between body and mind

Create a sense of safety and presence

SOMATIC SOUND THERAPY IN COMBINATION WITH ACUDETOX

Somatic Sound Therapy using tuning forks  can be used as a gentle, supportive layer alongside AcuDetox to help the nervous system settle more fully into safety and rest. Sound works directly with the body’s sensory pathways—often reaching places that words and effort cannot. When paired with AcuDetox, sound  therapy helps soften mental activity, slow the breath, and invite the nervous system out of vigilance and into regulation.

During AcuDetox sessions, calming tones, rhythmic sounds, or subtle frequencies may be introduced to support relaxation and integration. As the ear points stimulate the nervous system’s natural healing responses, sound provides an anchoring presence—giving the body something steady and soothing to orient toward. This combination can deepen the sense of calm, reduce internal noise, and help clients remain present without needing to “do” anything.

Sound also supports integration after the needles are placed. Rather than the nervous system quickly returning to stress patterns, gentle sound helps sustain a parasympathetic (rest-and-restore) state, allowing the effects of AcuDetox to settle more deeply. For many people—especially those with chronic stress, trauma, or high-responsibility roles—this layered approach can feel more accessible and regulating than silence alone.

A Gentle, Trauma-Informed Approach

Everything we offer at Denver-Wellness Community is grounded in:

Choice and consent

Slow, predictable pacing

Respect for the body’s signals

Non-judgment and non-performance

You are never asked to push, explain, or fix yourself here.

This is a space to pause, reconnect, and let your nervous system do what it’s designed to do — restore.

Reset. Restore. Reconnect.

Whether through Mindful Movement, AcuDetox or Somatic Sound Therapy or a combination of all three modalities, our goal is simple:
To help you feel more at home in your body and more supported in your nervous system.

Our approach is especially supportive for people experiencing chronic stress, burnout, trauma, or overwhelm — and for anyone who has felt intimidated or disconnected in traditional yoga spaces.

You are encouraged to listen to your body and choose what feels right for you.

This is a space where:

Slower is better

Less is enough

Your nervous system sets the pace

Come as you are. Leave feeling more settled, supported, and connected.

* At Denver-Wellness, our services are intended to support nervous system regulation and overall well-being. They are not a substitute for mental health therapy, medical care, or any other professional treatment. We view AcuDetox, mindful movement, and somatic sound therapy as complementary practices that can be used alongside other forms of care as part of a holistic wellness approach.
